With podcast episode 52 we’re celebrating our first anniversary (please, just don’t look at the dates and expect them to sync up to anything that resembles an actual year.
To celebrate, we bring former 400 Club Podcast host Simon Band out of mothballs and we do what we do ‘best’: we review TV shows.
We discuss:
- Unsupervised
- The Walking Dead
- The Talking Dead
- NBC comedy lineup (Parks & Recreation, The Office, and 30 Rock)
The Danger 5 webisodes and episodes of the bona fide series can be viewed at the Danger5 site. Also, Dan’s interview with the creators of Danger 5 can be heard here.

If the past few weeks have been anything to go by, Australian TV is going to be massive in 2012. We’ve seen an onslaught of interesting TV shows made locally that have high aspirational artistic intent.
On the show this week Dave and Dan look at:
- Danger 5 (S01E01)
- Miss Fishers Murder Mysteries (S01E01)
- Woodley (S1E01)
- The Straits (General discussion)
This weeks podcast is double length, but worth it as we look at some TV shows that are very worthy of your time and attention.

50 episodes of The 400 Club and 400 Club contributor/audio editor Dan has screwed it up badly.
To explain: The Radio Wolf Studios has a fairly decent set-up with 3 good quality microphones on stands, a mixing desk, and a Macbook to capture and edit the audio recorded. One would think that after producing the hundreds of podcasts that have been published by The Radio Wolf that Dan would have learned to ensure the button was flicked to ensure that the recording came by way of the complex recording equipment and not from the tiny in-built microphone on the Macbook.
But he didn’t. On episode 50 of all things.
The audio is still mostly listenable, so we’re publishing it. But, Dan isn’t happy about it.
The panel of Dave, Prue, and Dan this week discuss:
- Happy Endings (S02E13, S02E14)
- The Office (S08E15)
- Parks & Recreation (S04E15)
- How I Met Your Mother (S07E17)

We welcome back an old friend called 30 Rock this week. It’s a show that none of us have been that enthused by in recent years, but it’s still nice to see it on the screen. And it’s not as if the cast have been particularly absent from our lives. Since the show went off the air in May 2011, we’ve seen Tracey Morgan in trouble for controversial statements made during his stand-up act, Tina Feys book Bossypants built in prominence, and Alec Baldwin launched a pretty good podcast and got thrown off a plane.
But, boy is it nice to see 30 Rock back.
This week the panel discuss:
- The Office (S08E11)
- 30 Rock (S06E01)
- Parks & Recreation (S04E11)
- Homeland (season 1 overview)
- Smash (Pilot episode preliminary chat)

It’s a week of poor televisual fortunes as Dan and Dave embark on the return of regular TV shows, but find options still rather slim.
The lads discuss:
- Californication (S05E01)
- House of Lies (S01E01)
- Happy Endings (S02E10)
Dave and Dan also take some time this week to discuss their favourite legal dramas.
