Televised Revolution Podcast – Episode 25

On this, the final week of the low-news volume summer season, Televised Revolution is back for another week. We’ve moved Televised Revolution to the brand new recording time of Saturday mornings, so you should expect to see the program published now on Saturdays.

This week we discuss:

  • Roger Ebert has a prosthetic chin.
  • Angry Birds: The TV Series.
  • Kelli Underwood is bounced from Ch 10′s football call.
  • Hannah Montana winds up.
  • John Clease hates television.
  • The US adaptation of Skins upsets the Parents Television Council.

As always, we look forward to receiving your mail and check us out on the Twitter / Facebook. You can also find the podcast on iTunes (please leave us a review, it helps people find the show).

Televised Revolution Podcast – Episode 24

This week marks the last of our flood obsession. With Televised Revolution HQ lacking electricity due to the floods and access problems surrounding Simon’s suburb, this weeks podcast was an all-Skype affair. We apologise whole-heartedly for the audio quality of this edition.

On this weeks show we discuss the flood coverage on the TV networks, Senator Conroy allows for top tier sporting events to be broadcast on digital multi-channels, and the Wonder Woman pilot is a n0-go.

Televised Revolution Podcast – Episode 23

Today, Brisbane is under water. Major flooding has devastated a number of Brisbane suburbs, including Televised Revolution’s HQ in West End. The TV coverage of the event has been significant with rolling news running from 4am through to late night.

Ch 9′s coverage has been, from my perspective, the best of the networks. Their on-air talents local knowledge has proven invaluable in providing such a strong offering.

On this podcast I interview Kylie Blucher, Managing Director of Channel 9 Queensland, about their coverage of the event.

Televised Revolution Podcast – Episode 22

We kick off 2011 with something different: An interview with Tommy Wiseau, the Director of the 2003 cult film The Room. Topics discussed include his TV series currently in production called The Neighbours, his new feature film, what his girlfriend thinks of watching his emotional heartbreak in The Room, and are there Tommy Wiseau groupies?

You will not hear an interview on Televised Revolution that will ever match the oddity of this chat with Tommy Wiseau.

For any Brisbane listeners, Tribal Theatre are screening this on Friday nights for the next month. Check out the site for details. Also, be sure to check out our Twitter and Facebook pages for details on how to win a double pass.

Televised Revolution Podcast – Episode 21

In the final days of 2010, the Televised Revolution crew gathered at Televised Revolution HQ to look back at television in 2010 and the changes that have taken place across the medium.

It’s a fairly casual, laid-back discussion. We are keen to hear how your viewing habits have changed over the past 12 months, so please make sure you drop us an email.

After a couple of weeks of Television retrospective discussion, we’ll be back to the regular format for the next episode, recording back at our now quasi-home at The Edge digital media space at the State Library of Queensland. As always, we look forward to receiving your mail and check us out on the Twitter / Facebook. You can also find the podcast on iTunes (please leave us a review, it helps people find the show).
